Youths who are keen to further their studies but do not have the financial means can do so at the Institute For Technical Studies (I.T.S Kamptee) A unit of VMMRDES
The academy is providing free skill courses for local youths from the poor families in Kamptee. The six-month course is free as they are fully sponsored by the Government which paid the academy 6,000 for per trainee trained. The trainees are will also receive a monthly allowance of 1000 each. So far some 200 youths from districts all over the State have been recruited to take up basic Technical Courses
Our centre was set up in Kamptee primarily to assist and give a chance to those poor local youths who have not been able to further study,"normally they will go through the District Offices which will get the list of identified poor local youths from every village development and security committee under their respective jurisdiction. After getting the list, the academy will interview the prospects at the venue arranged by the MITCON Nagpur.
The first batch of five students, who availed themselves of free courses offered by Institute For Technical Studies (I.T.S Kamptee) A unit of VMMRDES to poor and unemployed candidates, have not only completed their courses but also found decent placements. They were given craft courses in `Food and Beverage Service' and `Food and Beverage Production'. The second batch of three students are undergoing `Industrial Exposure Training'. The college will offer free education to three poor students.
